We love cocktail dresses and glamour. For the

Boots are really in this year and so are various colors.
The weather is cold in some areas. If you can get
through your day with stilettos, then these are
ideal. We'll look through the web and we'll post
boots for our snow bunnies in the north. I used to
live in Alaska, so I know these may not be ideal
for our snow bunnies ;o).

Often I write about how I used to wear combat boots.
Honestly, for 22 years I did. For many years, my shoe
collection consisted of workout shoes, a few pair
of heels, and several pairs of black pumps. The
next time you see a lady in a military uniform,
she'll be in either black combat boots or black pumps.
Take a look next time you see one.

Imagine starting a job at the age of 18 years old and
only being able to wear black shoes or boots to work
for 22 years.

Trust me, I almost lost my mind when I was able to wear
red high heels to work (civilian job of course). Throughout
the day, I'd walk down the hall occassionally looking at my
feet in disbelief (actually in shock) that I wasn't wearing
black pumps. Imagine looking at your shoes all day. (People
must have whispered, "What's wrong with her? She keeps
looking at her shoes, man. All ex-military women like this?") lol

passion of being able to wear what one feels. The
true expression of being an individual. The expression
many take for granted and I've learned to appreciate.
