Happy Tuesday! - Perception
Everytime I hear someone place the word
"Happy" in front of a weekday, it
makes me chuckle. Not to long ago I had
the honor of working with a lady that would
say, "Happy Monday" first thing on Monday
morning. She even answered every call on
Monday saying, "Happy Monday! May I help you?"
The majority of the workers would say, "What's
so happy about it?" Yet there were a few of us
that would burst out laughing because the lady
said it with such enthusiasm. After a while,
we were repeating it back to her as an automatic
response lol. Some of used "Happy
Monday" on our calls too. It was a lot of fun.
It's amazing how this two worded statement increased
the morale. How someone's meaning of
the statement depended on their perception.
This post is related to the above story, changing
a perception. Changing a perception isn't always
easy, yet it can be the most exhilarating,
liberating, and funniest way to go about digesting
our daily lives. Our perception of ourselves
dictates what we will allow for ourselves to wear.
Your wardrobe is a reflection of how you feel about
you :o). Good and Bad, you then tell everyone to
feel that same way about you. Hmmm....
The below videos show how women can show confidence
and how they can go against the perception of others.
These videos are very dear to my heart because they
show confident plus size women (plus size can be
size 12 and up in the fashion world. Amazing).

Ladies, this is an upcoming pageant.
My eyes water watching the women
accept their tiaras and sash as Ms Plus America!
Each state needs to be represented.
This is another video that is near and dear to
my heart. This video shows that plus size women
can have confidence and be accepted by
just being themselves. A must see! These girls
jam!! I'm a plus size and I had to ask myself if
I can still dance like these ladies lol. I love their
empire waist mini dresses. :o)
